Marlene Fabian

Hi. My name is Marlene. Both my parents came from small dairy cattle farms located on the North Coast of NSW. I grew up living out of town using tank water, growing our own veggies & fruit, making most of our own clothes. I have two independent adult children, both bright but one with learning difficulties as well, and have been widowed now for several years. Some of the things I enjoy are gardening, cryptic crosswords, reading, teaching, and travelling (driving, tours, cruises & trains).  Most of my teaching career was in a specialist role working with children K-Yr6 who had difficulties with learning to read, spelling and/or maths. After officially retiring a few years ago I continued to help individual children, in their own homes, who were struggling with Maths. I’m looking forward to helping out and enjoying some time with a family in the country.
